Beissel Needles for Denim
Jeans are all about looking with-it. Sometimes, low rise might be the rage and at other times, it might be a different style. Whatever the trend is, it goes without saying that the pair of jeans must last. This durability is made possible by craftsmen who have the gift of fashioning delight out of scraps of denim. At Beissel, we specialize in helping such craftsmen by offering the finest set of needles that can make the blue denim look bewitching.
Denim is a thick, hard, unwashed fabric. The penetration resistance to the needle is very high and large size needles are recommended. This is especially the case when sewing multiple piles or sewing over seams. The most commonly used denim is 14 oz. For softer, lighter weight or stretch fabrics, we would advise a needle approximately 2 size smaller. For stretch denims, we usually suggest light ballpoint needles.
They say it takes about 1.6 meters of denims, several hundred meters of sewing thread, 6 rivets, labels, few leather patches, a zipper and 37 sewing operations to create a standard 5-pocket pair of jean. The sewing operations are too many to sum up.
